Crappiest Snowden-related article ever: "Why Won’t Anyone Take Edward Snowden?" (Slate, 7/3/2013)

It was titled, "Why Won’t Anyone Take Edward Snowden?" by Eric Posner, in Slate Magazine. Date: July 3.

It began like this: "Poor Edward Snowden! He’s willing to live nearly anywhere, but no country is willing to accept him. Not Ecuador. Not China, Russia, Norway, or Spain. Why not? Because he is a terrible candidate for asylum."

The paragraph didn't mention Nicaragua or Venezuela. Days before Posner's article it was reported that Venezuela and Nicaragua were willing to accept Snowden: http://www.latimes.com/news/world/worldnow/la-fg-wn-venezuela-nicaragua-snowden-20130705,0,239119.story

Russia just gave assylum to Snowden.

So not only does Posner not know the definition of "anyone" but he had no idea what Putin had in mind. He also cherry-picked countries in order to make his fake point.

Everyone has his/her own opinion though. Prosense thought the article was brilliant:
